PAKISTAN CRICKET TEAM SEMI FINAL QUALIFICATION SCENARIO

Pakistan Team needs to bring 1992 Magic Back

And need a lot of Luck on their side!

Pakistan Cricket Team has found themselves in deep trouble when they lost their last game against the arch-rivals India (PAK vs IND) on 16th-June. This high profile game was important for Pakistan in a lot of ways. If we only consider the importance of this game regarding Pakistan’s qualification to the semis, then it was it ! this was the game they had to win to be sure enough to qualify on their own. But as the things turned out to be, now Pakistan has to depend on other team results as well.

This tough will not be the first instance when Team Pakistan has found themselves wanting in such a manner. In fact, they have been in such scenario many a time during their cricketing history and not to our surprise Pakistani Team has come out victorious in numerous occasions. Consider World Cups of 2009 and 1992 for instance. Pakistani Team was actually the underdogs in these tournaments and the start to these tournaments was dreadful by Pakistani Cricket Team. But they did manage to surprise everyone which some magical overnight improvements to their gameplay and also with the heavens in their favor as well.

ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2009

Pakistan cricket team were never the favorites going into the world cup. they lost the first game they played against England and again lost few more games deeming their chances to qualify into the semis. however they really surprised everyone by beating SA in the semis to reach the final. and Pakistan beat sri lanka in a low scoring final and the rest is history.

ICC ODI WORLD CUP 1992

THE 1992 MAGIC PAKISTAN NEED RIGHT NOW!

One name comes to mind whenever we talk about the 1992 world cup and that is “The Great Imran Khan”. his captaincy genius and heroics with the bat for Pakistan made the definitive difference in the end but it wasn’t so easy for Pakistan to qualify into the finals or the Semi-Finals even. The Term “Cornered Tigers” was introduced by the great Imran Khan when his team lost the initial matches and had to win all their matches and then pray for the west indies match to go into their favor. this seemed almost impossible however nothing is impossible in this world and everyone was taken to surprise when Pakistan improved their performance overnight and delivered some hefty punches to the stronger oppositions and the heaven also played their part for them to qualify into the semi-finals.

ALSO READ: SCENARIOS HOW PAKISTAN CAN QUALIFY TO SEMIS

Pakistan with only 3 points after 5 matches are now in the exact same scenario as they were in the world cup 1992 which they went on to win eventually. They had to win all their matches and then It also depended on the results of other teams. Now Pakistan also have to win their matches against New Zealand, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and South Africa. Also England has to lose atleast 3 matches out of their 4 so Pakistan can qualify comfortably into the finals. If we talk about cricket this seems ever so impossible right now. but as the word goes, Nothing is impossible.

The Great Imran Khan always says ” You don’t lose until you think you lose”

Let’s see what happens in the coming games and if Pakistan really are up to the task and can bounce back like once they did in the past in 1992 world cup.

What do you think about it? can Pakistan Bounce back as a Team? comment below.

WI vs PAK

Pakistan vs West Indies

2nd Match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

Pakistan and West Indies will be fighting their first battle against each other in the ICC mega event today on 31-May at Trent Bridge Nottingham. This will be the first outing for Men in Green and the Carabian team in this ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

WARM-UP MATCH RESULTS

If we talk about the Warm Up matches of both teams, Pakistan could only play one Warm-up match against the new Afghanistan team which came out rather as a shocker for the men in Green as they lost to Afghanistan team by 3 wickets. The second warm-up game against Bangladesh was washed away by rain.

West Indies, on the other hand, had an amazing warm-up game against the good looking team New Zealand where WI scored a massive total of 421. and to no surprise won the match comfortably at the end.

West Indies and Pakistan are the two teams which are tagged as the “unpredictable”. that’s what makes PAKvWI exciting to watch. You just never know what could come out of them. On their day they can blow away any side and they can also be very disappointing on a given day as well. Both teams have this surprise element attached to them which makes them exciting to watch. Pakistan and West Indies both have talented players who can jolt the opposition in any condition so this PAK vs WI has to be a close contest many suspects.

Lets take a closer look on what history brings to the table about the two sides.

If we look at the ODI stats of PAKvWI games, then there is not so much to choose from. West Indies may be leading by 10 matches but this total number does include the golden times when WI team was a nightmare for any opponent and they were at the top of their game in the ’70s and ’80s. Recently Pakistan had a better going against the Windies in the shorter format.

Everyone wants the win their first match of this big tournament and set the mood for them in the rest of the world cup thus we can surely expect one hell of a match tomorrow. let see it Pakistan has some answers to the unstoppable WI batsmen who are scoring big recently, and likewise, we will see if WI are able to play the surprising and very capable Pakistan bowling attack.

Backing away and giving himself space to clear the arms and the boundary.West Indies have run away as winners in a very one-sided match. Chasing down 105 was never going to be difficult and once Chris Gayle got going the match was over. His 50 from 34 along with Pooran's 34 from 19 were the bright points in the innings and they gave the spectators plenty of things to cheer about. With such a big loss Pakistan will have to regroup and come out firing on Monday against England, who they just lost to 4-0.

INDIA vs PAKISTAN WORLD CUP MATCH 2019: WHO WILL WIN?

INDIA vs PAKISTAN (IND vs PAK)

PAKISTAN v INDIA in ICC World Cup 2019 is getting all the spotlight as both nations are set to play each other once more on 16-June at Old Trafford. PAKvIND is expected to be yet another high voltage or perhaps the biggest group match in Cricket World Cup 2019. With the recent not cricketing combat of Air strikes between the two neighbors, the hype and emotional attachment of the fans are even more extreme towards this match and both sides want to perform well in this contest. But why is this rivalry? let us take a deep dive into this.

Background: THE BIGGEST RIVALRY:

WATCH INDIA VS PAKISTAN LIVE MATCH ONLINE HERE

“The Arch Rivals”, probably the perfect word to define the relationship between the two neighbors. Pakistan and India are two very fine Asian cricketing teams. Without any shadow of a doubt, these two have the biggest rivalry in cricket. And not just cricket, Pakistan and India are the biggest rivals in any sport they come across each other let it be hockey, Kabaddi or any other game. This rivalry started right from the Partition of British India, When the subcontinent was divided into two countries, Pakistan and India (Bharat). since then, both these nations have been great rivals.

Cricket flows through the veins of the people in India and Pakistan and as they say, Pakistan vs India is not just a game between Pakistan Cricket team vs Indian Cricket Team, Its way more than that as Both the nations are behind their teams and a warlike environment is established whenever the two cricketing giants lock horns on cricket field. The cricket Rivalry dates back to 1952-1953 INDIA vs PAKISTAN series when the two nations first played each other in Test cricket. In Delhi, the first test match was won by India, while in Lucknow Pakistan won the 2nd test match which led to an angry reaction from the home crowd towards their team. Last two matches were drawn and India clinched the series by 2-1.

INDIA’s FIRST TOUT TO PAKISTAN

Indian team toured Pakistan for the first time in 1954-55, It was a long tour of 5 Test matches. It must be reminded that back in those days test matches lasted for only 4-days unlike now when a 5-day match is played. SERIES OUTCOME: PAK vs ENG

PAKISTAN Team’s Performance and takeaways from the series:

THE BAD:

From Pakistan perspective, Pakistan doesn’t get the momentum they wanted before entering the world cup. This was the continuous 10th defeat of the Pakistan team which ultimately affect the team combination, the atmosphere of the dressing room and also the Psych of the players.

If we talk about practicing in the England conditions to be aware of the world cup conditions, it is well and good but if we talk about batting, bowling, and fielding, the Pakistan team was very down in all the departments of the cricket. They bowl very poorly, no early swing from the new ball, no reverse swing later with the old ball, no variations seen from Pakistani bowlers, Yorkers were also missing in the dead overs from Pakistani bowlers.
Pakistan raised its fielding standards in recent past but in this series, fielding was below the standard and fitness was also an issue in this series.

THE GOODS:

not so much good to account for from this series however, In batting there are few positive points for Pakistan team, openers are very much in form which is the good sign for Pakistan team, middle order works properly, but there was always a hard hitter missing in the lower order which could take up the momentum towards the end and help the team in setting up a huge and Asif Ali filled this spot for Pakistan also plunging his way into the World cup squad.

As a sum up, Pakistan team need a lot of hard work in all department of cricket to make a strong comeback in the world cup as a champion. They have full knowledge of their weaknesses now and they are well aware of the conditions and what they will be up against in WorldCup 2019.

ENGLAND Team’s Performance and takeaways from the series:

All Looking Good for England Team:

If we look at the series from the England perspective, the series was full of positivity and ultimately ending up the series on a positive note always helps the teams to get crucial momentum. As this series was the final series of England before the world cup, England got the full benefit of the series, test their new young boys, tested their batting line, bowling line and their fitness too. Entering into the world cup with whitewashed a team in something every team is dreaming off. If we talk about batting, it outclassed Pakistan bowling line up. Openers are in such a great form, the middle order is like a great wall and the most important thing is that lower order can bat too which is a bonus point for the England team. If we look at bowling, England tests too many young bowlers like Curran and Archer who did their job fantastic and brilliantly well in this entire series. These young guys add some pace in the England bowling lineup with great accuracy. Fielding and fitness of English players are always up to the mark.

CONCLUSION:

If we sum up the entire situation, England is on the top of the entire series as well as on the top of favorites for the world cup by different analysts and by different legends of the cricket. They are so perfect in each department either it is batting, bowling or fielding.

SHAHID AFRIDI BOOK GAME CHANGER

You can Download The Ebook “THE GAME CHANGER” from Shahid Afridi HERE.

SHAHID AFRIDI

Shahid Afridi needs no introduction.”Boom Boom Afridi” has been Pakistani Star All-rounder famous for his blistering hitting of the cricket ball. On 4th October 1996, Shahid Afridi came into the cricketing world with a bang, Stunning the world with his exceptional and clean hitting scoring Fastest century in cricket history (100 on 36 balls).

He has many a time stunned the world with his epic hitting skills. Shahid Khan Afridi has his name written for many records in cricket including Most sixes by batsmen and most number of “Man of the Match Awards” however he has also been in the headlines for non-cricketing reasons as well over his 20 years of career.

Shahid Afridi retired from International Cricket (ODI Format) right after ICC WORLD CUP 2015, Since then he has been mostly busy with his NGO “Hope Not Out”. Shahid has recently written a book which has caught all the media attention and Shahid has been in the spotlight once again due to some cheeky things he mentioned within his biography. Shahid Afridi’s Book is rightfully titled ” GAME CHANGER” just the way he was.

THE GAME CHANGER

Shahid Afridi’s book game changer has revealed many controversial things including Team politics, Board politics and some of the players. Shahid Afridi.

KEY POINTS OF SHAHID AFRIDI’s BOOK “GAME CHANGER”

SHAHID AFRIDI’s BOOK IMPORTANT POINTS and REVIEW

  • Shahid very bluntly told his “ACTUAL AGE” every one from his book saying that he was indeed not 16 years of age on his debut instead he was 19 years old.
  • Shahid Afridi has initially written about his humble beginnings and initial childhood days.
  • Shahid also told us that he scored his first 36 ball Fastest century of the world with Sachin Tendulkar’s BAT! yes, that’s right. Sachin gave his bat to Waqar Younis to make him a similar bat from Sialkot and Waqar let Shahid play with the bat when he was going in to bat before that world record innings. No Wonder SACHIN TENDULKAR had an indirect secret hand in making Shahid a star he is today.
  • Then he spoke about the legendary players from Pakistan like Javaid Miandad, Waqar Younis, and Wasim Akram. For Javed Miandad, he used the word “Weak Human” and told a story when Afridi scored his first test century Miandad asked Afridi to give his performance credit to Javed in front of everyone. Similarly, about Waqar Younis, he says that he was a terrible Captain and a poor Coach as well. He did praise Wasim Akram referring his as his mentor. There is a lot more in the book to read about such stories and instances form Shahid Afridi’s life.
  • Shahid Afridi also discussed the dirty politics inside Pakistan Cricket and between players.
  • He also explained how he was a pure bowler and always meant to be a bowler but people made him batsmen and always expected sixes from his making him live in a confusion for all his career.
  • Shahid also discussed his party life before marriage and a little about his affairs and some funny stories related to it like once when he was impressed by a girl over phone and her voice was so lovely but when Shahid wanted to meet her and invited her in his home. it was a 14-year-old young boy and he felt embarrassed and he and his family met that young boy and spent the day with him.
  • Shahid also wrote about his political views. Shahid Wrote about Imran Khan, Praising him as a cricketer however he is of the view that Imran Khan’s party members aren’t competent enough to deliver.
  • Similarly, Shahid Afridi also discussed Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari and shared a story where Bilawal was used as a scapegoat by Zardari to force indulge Shahid into their political gatherings and rallies.
  • Shahid Afridi also expressed his views about Nawaz Shareef, He says that no matter what you think of Nawaz Shareef and he may well be involved in corruption and all but “HE KNOWS HOW TO DELIVER FOR PAKISTAN”. he compared cities and gave an example of developments in Lahore city of Punjab (Where Nawaz Shareef ruled) compared to Karachi and other cities.
  • He also expressed his views about Military establishment of Pakistan where he wrote that Military should stay away from the politics and why they keep interfering in the countries politics when there is no need of it and they should simply stick to their own job.

CONCLUSION

Overall its a fine book with some mistakes and some contradictions here and there, however, Shahid Afridi has exposed some hard realities of cricket and especially Pakistan Cricket which has taken the fans by storm and its a good read. Controversies like legendary players like Miandad, Waqar Younis, and others are there with the sad events of Spot Fixing and Afridi’s Role in It. Overall if you are a Shahid Afridi fan it’s a must-read for you.

ENGvPAK 5ODI series

England won the 5th-Match ODI series 4-0

Pakistan Lost 4th- ODI match to England

Pakistan lost another high scoring game to England in ongoing 5 match ODI series. This England vs Pakistan series is more of a World Cup preparation for both the teams. After the first ODI was abandoned due to rain at THE OVAL (London). Rest has been a complete struggle for the visitors where they have played and lost 4 High scoring matches on the trot.

England has Won the 5-ODI match series with a convincing 4-0 lead with also winning the final 5th-ODI match held at Leeds. All Matches were high scoring matches with 350 runs on average scored in each game. Pakistani batting was rather competitive during all three ODIs. Fakhar Zaman, Imam Ul Haq and Babar Azam score centuries and Asif Ali also chipped in with consecutive 50s. Captain Sarfraz also coming back into touch after a long time, scored 97 runs when he was run out in a funny way courtesy Jos Buttler’s acrobatics with his leg. However, it was Pakistan Team’s bowling which led them down on these flat pitches. Pakistani bowling is fairly more use to play on flat pitches in UAE however to everyone’s surprise Pakistani Bowlers were below power in all three matches. Ordinary bowling was further led down by poor ground fielding regardless of some young legs in the side, the fielding was a stress for the visitors in all three matches.

ALSO READ: WHY PAK vs ENG SERIES WAS SO IMPORTANT

Not only the side looks low on confidence but also the worries of right bowling combination for the world cup is a headache now for the head coach Micky Arthur. Muhammad Amir will join the stumbling bowling lineup in World Cup 2019, However, with his out of form poor run in the past series this year, people are skeptical of any quick improvements.

On the other hand, this series was not only a huge confidence booster for the England side moreover they managed to test all players on the bench for the coming World Cup Squad. Players like TOM CURRAN, JOE DENLY, and JOFRA ARCHER showed promise and performed very well making it ever so difficult for the England selectors to pick and drop players for the World Cup Squad.

Both teams are well aware of this and its a WIN WIN situation for both the cricket teams. But there is more for Pakistan to take way. Because they are still experimenting.

PAK PACERS GETTING TO KNOW THE CONDITIONS

Pakistan Cricket Team is heavily loaded with very capable young Pacers. For some of them, it is their first visit to the alien conditions of England. These England conditions are very different from the one back home for Pakistani pacers. getting to know these conditions ahead of World cup is a huge bonus for Pakistan, Its a blessing in disguise. This series consists of only one Twenty20 (T20I) and 5 ODIs (One-day Internationals), which help Pakistan to prepare well before the world cup. Pakistan will play their first match of the world cup against West Indies on 31st May 2019 while England will play their first match of the world cup against South Africa on 30th May 2019.

HISTORY OF PAKISTAN VS ENGLAND IN ODIs:

Let us go down the memory lane to see what history unfolds about Pakistan vs England matches and their past encounters. ODI cricket itself is very old and if we talk about England they are the pioneers of this format. England played their first ODI against Australia in January 1971 and the interesting fact is that this match was the first ODI ever played by any team, while Pakistan played their first ODI against New Zealand in 1973, but registered their first win against England in 1974.

England cricket team played 727 ODIs, with 363 victories, 330 defeats, 8 ties and 26 no results, having 49.93 winning%. While Pakistan Cricket team played 912 ODIs, with 479 victories, 406 defeats, 8 ties, and 19 matches ended with no results, having 52.52 winning%.

if we look at the history of head to head in ODI, Pakistan and England faced each other 82 times, in which Pakistan Cricket team wins 31 times (38.75 winning%), while England Cricket team wins 49 times (61.25 winning%), while 2 matches ended with no results. According to these stats, the England cricket team surely has a great edge over the Pakistan Cricket team.

ICC WORLD CUP EVENTS AND PAK VS ENG SERIES:

WINNING THIS SERIES WILL MAKE THEM WORLD CUP FAVORITES?

Whats on Stake?

As the ICC World Cup 2019 is scheduled this month on 30th May, Pakistan vs England series has its undenied importance in the whole scenario. With the exception of few veteran players like Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Hafeez, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Pakistan team is packed with young talented players who will be playing on these sorts of fast pitches, in fact, some of the young guys had no experience of playing in England, Players like Muhammad Hasnain, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Abid Ali will experience these conditions first hand before the mega event, thus this series benefits these young lads and Pakistan cricket team a lot. If we talk about England side that how this series benefits England cricket team? So the answer is very simple, as each and every team knows Pakistan always has the best and lethal bowling lineup and bowlers, so Practicing against such quality bowling lineup helps England batsmen a lot in the mega event. England also has some debutants who play their first series against Pakistan, and if they perform well in this series they may be in the squad for the world cup, so this is how this entire series is important for both the teams.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF BOTH TEAMS:

PAKISTAN TEAM

Each team has its own strengths and weaknesses, Teams tend to identify their weaknesses and resolve them through improvements in technique or inclusion of fresh blood and they try to boost their strengths by capitalizing on the in-form players and using the expertise of experienced and well-established team members If we talk about Pakistan Cricket Team, and we just droll down a few years back, there were several wounding weaknesses in the side, which were hurting the Pakistan team since long time. Most prominently the fielding and chasing or should be say Chasing a big total. However, that very team did have an absolute lethal and demolishing bowling lineup, which was capable of demolishing any sort of batting line badly. On the contrary, if we inspect this present Pakistan Side, it appears to be totally different from the past. Pakistani cricket team as a side improved a lot in recent times, working on their batting, bowling, fielding even each and every department of cricket. still, there are few lacking as like missing a proper opener, a proper hitter at the lower order and a wicket-taking attacking bowler as like Wasim Akram, Muhammad Asif, etc. if we talk about the strengths of Pakistan, with no doubt each and every one says that its lethal bowling line which is capable of demolishing any sort of batting line and also defend any sort of total.

ALSO READ : PROBLEM WITH PAKISTAN TEAM

ENGLAND TEAM

If we take our magnifying glass and Observe the England side, their major lacking or weakness during the past few years is their bowling lineup. England side lacks the experience that James Anderson and Stuart Broad once brought into the side. Some young pacers of England are performing well but the spark, agility, and experience that James Anderson and Stuart Broad had, is definitely missing in the side. As we talk about the strengths of the England side, England side is capable of demolishing any world class side because England has a brilliant batting lineup with a lot of experience into play. Their Ace players in the form of Eoin Morgan and Joe Root are in great form and performing consistently for their side. England as a Fielding side is very up to the mark as well. historically they have been good in this region and there are no surprises that the current England team is also full of spark and sharpness in the field. They are very athletic and very fit in the outfield. It is a perfectly balanced side.

WHO CAN WIN PAKISTAN VS ENGLAND SERIES 2019?

WHO IS FAVORITE? LETS COMPARE!

In the First T20I England made it look all too easy by winning the match with 7 wickets. But ODI is a different ball game altogether. Though not one of the strongholds of Pakistan, ODI cricket will bring in new players from both sides especially the ones to be tested for the Worldcup squad for form and consistency. Thus its slightly early to call it at this particular moment that what is going to be the fate of this epic series coming up just before the world cup. Both teams have outstanding players who are capable of doing something out of the box. Pakistan team Led by Sarfaraz who is known for fighting spirit. He fights for his side and for the match till the very last ball bowled. He is not a sort of skipper who gives up too quickly. and everyone remembers who his this attitude made the difference when Pakistan lifted the ICC champion trophy winner in the same venue. On contrary Engish, Team is led by Eoin Morgan, who is known for his calm nature and brilliant leadership in a tough situation, where his calmness and brilliant decisions lead his team to the victory. He is also a great batsman and on many occasion led his team from the front and made over the line.

So if we compare both teams, both teams do have their own strengths and weaknesses and both the teams contain some young Players which will add a surprise element to this all-important series but if we talk about experience, England has a little edge over Pakistan side. And if we talk about head to head stats between Pakistan and England, this also put the England side a point above the Pakistan side. So one would guess it be the England team as winners of this series with the home ground advantage and a most consistent record in bilateral series against Pakistan. However, they say Cricket is a very unpredictable game and you just never know with cricket what is coming. Let’s enjoy the good cricket coming our way.

Why Amir is not playing ICC World CUP 2019

Why Mohammad Amir Dropped from WC 2019?

Mohammad Amir and Pakistan Cricket.

Mohammad Amir the Star bowler of Pakistan was born in April 13 1992. He is 27 years of age now. Mohammad Amir debuted for Pakistan Cricket Team ten years back in July 2009. He entered the Cricket World with a bang and was dubbed as the “Next Best Thing in World Cricket” very quickly. His Left-arm Fast bowling was a blessing in disguise for the Pakistani cricket team but then suddenly everything changed !

Muhammad Amir was caught in a Spot-Fixing scandal that shocked Pakistani Cricket and the whole world when Pakistan was on England tour in November 2011. At that time he was on his career peak in such young age. Many thought he could be the next Waseem Akram for Pakistan. Amir was the first one to admit his mistake and was immediately banned from world cricket for 5 long years.

Return of Mohammad Amir to Pakistan Cricket Team

After 5 long years of Ban and rehabilitation, Mohammad Amir who was still loved and remembered by his fans was finally given a green signal to play for the Pakistan National Cricket Team and on August 2015 he came back to the Pakistan side once more for the better.

AMIR RECENT PERFORMANCES

Mohammad Amir hasn’t been the AMIR he used to be in recent past. He has a below average record which is certainly not up to the standards we are use to expect from the Talented Mohammad Amir. Being Axed from the Test side already he has not been able to show his class with the bowl in ODI format as well. One Day Cricket has rather been a consistent struggle for the 27 year old Amir. As he has just bagged 33 wickets in 31 ODI’s he has played since his return back in year 2015. His Average is just 36.6 in ODI’s since return.

WHY AMIR IS NOT IN World CUP 2019 PAKISTAN TEAM ?

Everyone is asking Why Mohammad AMIR is not Playing?

The easiest and the most honest answer is his declining form. He has been a total disaster in Last two years especially after the Most Famous INDIA VS PAKISTAN ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY FINAL. Since that wondrous match where his heroics won Pakistani Team a rare Win against India in an ICC cricket tournament, every stat is showing a miserable story of his declining form. His Bowling average is above 90.00 Yes above 90 and a shocking strike rate of 120.00. There have been no lack of opportunities its just his performance which is heading downhill ever since that Champions trophy match. All this is happening when young and promising players like Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Hasnain are emerging and knocking the doors of the selectors with their impressive performances in home series and in PSL-4.

CAN WE EXPECT MOHAMMAD AMIR’s RETURN IN World Cup 2019?

There is simply no doubt is Mohammad Amir’s Ability however its his continuously poor form that has made selectors to consider alternate options instead of Muhammad Amir. and Amir is Dropped from the world cup 2019 squad. But Wait there is still hope.

PAK vs ENG 2019 Series Last hope for Amir !

Yes Amir along with another not chosen young prospect ” Muhammad Asif” are still selected by the Pakistan Cricket Board Selection Committee headed by Inzimam-ul-Haq. There have been clear signals from the Selection board that if there is a considerable improvement in Amir’s poor bowling form in the upcoming series between Pakistan vs England then his selection is possible. He is set to have some matches before the ICC World cup 2019 in England and Wales where is has been lethal in the past. This PAK v ENG series just before the World Cup in the same conditions are one last opportunity for Amir to turn things around for him and make a wild card entry to the world cup squad.

Pakistan Team can select the final squad till 23rd April. Lets see if Amir can give us some magic though his performances in PAK vs ENG Series starting May 05- 2019.
