In any field of expertise, we always look for the best in business, There are always some standout star performers which make that very particular field special, Cricket is no different. Cricket like any other sport has produced some of the finest stars who became global celebrities and influencers. Some of the players changed the whole image and structure of the game. They played and changed the way how people used to look at that sport. Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Akram, Virat Kohli, Shahid Afridi, Shane Warne, Chris Gayle, Murlidharan, Sanath Jayasuriya, AB Devilliers, Shoaib Akhtar are a few to name here. If we take a look at any popular sports, for instance, Football, we talk about some top-ranking footballers like Ronaldo, Messi, etc. Here, we are talking about cricket and as you all know that Cricket World Cup is just around the corner, and just before this mega event, everyone especially analysts are looking closely with eagle eyes on top favorite teams for Worldcup 2019 and similarly top-ranked bowlers in ODI format and batsmen who played a key roles and are in prime form these days. ICC ranked the players on the basis of their recent performances, and this ranking matters a lot right now and Worldcup squads are getting selected and the final playing 11 for the World Cup will be decided on the recent forms for most teams if not all.

History of Cricket shows how strong bowling lineup and bowlers are the keys to success in major events like World Cup for the teams, and they always help teams to get over the line and play a major role in changing the balance of the match at any given moment towards their respective teams. Top bowlers always have some psychological impact on the batsmen, which ultimately benefit their teams. In recent history, we know how batsmen had to specially prepare to play wizard spinners like Saeed Ajmal and Muttaiya Murlidharan. Or how Batsmen around the world were troubled by the Great Sri Lankan SpICC ranked the bowlers according to their rules, regulations, and calculations depend on the recent performance of the bowlers. The top 5 ODI bowlers are:

01 Jasprit Bumrah India 774
02 Trent Boult New Zealand 759
03 Rashid Khan Afghanistan 747
04 Imran Tahir South Africa 703
05 Kagiso Rabada South Africa 701

Jasprit Bumrah, a very well-known young gun of Indian bowling lineup, who made his ODI debut in 2018, wearing ODI shirt No. 93, is a 25-year-old pacer who did a splendid job with the ball after his debut and now he is the front man of Indian bowling lineup. He did a great job just within 2 years and able to grab the 1st rank in ICC ODI bowlers. Many doubted Bumrah ability in the start but his performances nullified all criticism and soon he became one of the finest in the trade beating most of his successors, Will he be the next Zaheer Khan of Indian cricket, or “Even Better” only time will tell, but for now he surely is the Worlds Best Bowler Jaspreet Bumrah.

Trent Boult, a famous 30 years old New Zealander, who made his ODI debut in July 2012, wearing ODI shirt No. 18. He is the attacking bowler of New Zealand team since last few years. Trent Boult stormed into world cricket with his express quick Pace and soon became the eye candy of cricket fans around the world. This young pacer performs consistently from his side throughout past years which make him able to grab the 2nd rank in ICC ODI bowlers.

Rashid Khan, The New Afghani sensation in world cricket is a very talented, hardworking, and aggressive leg break bowler from Afghanistan who made his ODI debut in October 2015, wearing ODI shirt No. 19.  He struggled early in his career but when he started, he never looked back and impress everyone through his performance. In this era, there are very few leg break bowlers who made their impact on the batsmen nut Rashid Khan did it very nicely and calmly. His struggle and his consistency make him able to grab the 3rd rank in ICC ODI bowlers.

Imran Tahir, a Pakistani born South African Cricketer who bowl leg break googlies, who made his ODI debut in February 2011, wearing ODI shirt No. 99. He is very famous for his celebration style and also for his googlies. This 40-year-old veteran bowler plays a vital role in some of the major victories of South Africa in the past few years. His googlies left a sense of fear in the batsmen and because of this, he grabs 4th rank in ICC ODI bowler.

Kagiso Rabada, The deadliest pacer Produced by South Africa after Dale Steyn, who made his ODI debut in July 2015, wearing ODI shirt No. 25. He is just 23 years old but he already made his impact in the cricket world by his pace, accuracy and lethal bowling. He was accomplished in making his deadliest impact very early in his career, took so many wickets and threaten the batsmen in this modern Era of batting where there are very few opportunities for the bowler. His deadliest bowling and his accuracy make him able to grab 5th rank in ICC ODI bowler.

In Modern cricket, a Team just cannot win the match with a sharp batting lineup only, to be the best teams need a strong and consistent bowling lineup that can give the desired result consistently at the top level. The bowlers who are ranking at the top are not just the good bowlers they are the key players of their teams and certainly match winners, With ICC Worldcup 2019 coming to these top bowlers and their bowling forms have become far too important to ignore. These top 5 can demolish batting lineup and create troubles for the very finest batsmen. Team India, South Africa, and Newzeland certainly have an edge in the field with the top bowlers in their teams. however only time will tell if these top bowlers will convert their good form into a world cup winning one in next month however all we can do is just watch and hope for the best.

What if I asked you to guess the most successful and popular Indian cricketer of Modern cricket? Yes, you guessed it right, Its Mahindra Singh Dhoni known to his fans as M.S Dhoni or “MAHI” by some. Certainly, MS doesn’t need any introduction, 37 years old Dhoni has been playing for the Indian National Cricket Team for many years now, he became captain of Men in blue in the year 2007 after Rahul Dravid (ODI Captain and also a Wicket Keeper) and captained Indian side in all formats of cricket later. Dhoni shined as captain for his country in all ICC major events including the ICC WC in 2011, ICC Wt20 and ICC Champions Trophy. Not to forget that he has captained and led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team to victory 3 times before in the biggest and India’s very own cricket league the IPL (Indian Premier League).

Unlike a few other players, Dhoni did not begin his career with a silver spoon but rather struggled to earn his place with consistency. MSD made his first debuts in ODI then in tests and then in T20 in 2004, 2005 and 2006 respectively. His consistency is very well defined by his stats. According to the stats:

Dhoni has faced a lot of ups and downs during his entire career but the one thing he is famous for is his ever-cool mind and thinking which certainly helped him handle the situations very calmly and overcome the situations with positive results. Just because of his attitude, he became famous among cricketing and non-cricketing fans.

There have been numerous times when MSD has skipped the limelight for the sake of encouraging the young talent. Whenever TEAM INDIA won a major title or a tournament, more often than not, MS Dhoni was seen handing over the celebrations and the trophy to the young players in the team and simply drifting from the showoff stage.

There are so many milestones MS Dhoni has achieved throughout his career. Here we take a quick look at some of the most prestigious ones under his belt.

  1. Padma Bhushan in 2018

As you all know, especially cricketing fans that World Cup fever on its peak and the biggest cricketing event is on the board in the month of May 2019. As the World cup coming close, cricket fans set close eyes on their favorite team as well as their favorite players.

The thing everyone’s been thinking of about 37 years old MS Dhoni, the most frequently asked questions include one the most important question that is “Will this ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 edition be the last of MS Dhoni?” For the cricketing fans, this is probably the most important question to be answered by cricketing Greats of All Times and by MS Dhoni himself.

If we look in the past, there are so many great cricketing legends, who took the cricket world cup as a platform for their retirement. They announced their retirements just before the world cup. This trick works for so many cricketers as they performed well in the world cup and then get retired at the peak of their form and career as well. So, all the fans remember them in great words and the cricketing world admire them for a long time.

If we take a note from the past examples, some of the biggest examples in front of us are the Great Imran Khan of Pakistan, Ricky Ponting of Australia, Little Master Sachin Tendulkar of India, These legends announced their retirement on World Cup events and left the arena on the biggest cricketing stage. Choosing World Cup event to say goodbye makes a lot of sense and there are good reasons for it! This not only served them the purpose of ending their respective careers on a high but their decision helped them to motivate themselves to sparkle on last time to be the champions. And as they say, End should be the most memorable one and for these legends, it certainly was when they lifted the WORLD CUP Trophies and returned to their fans as Champions of the world. History of cricket is full of these sorts of examples.

MS Dhoni has served his country and his team with great honor and pride. He has led Team INDIA in almost every event of the cricket world and made his team champion. He has won all major ICC tournaments and there is no trophy in Cricket MSD hasn’t held in his hands. He has achieved more than any Captain from INDIA and as a player, he has served wonders for his nation over a period of 15 years.

MSD has been the love of Indian Cricket fans since 15 long years now. From his first Helicopter shot till this CSK’s Awesome Performances in the recent IPL 2019 edition, MS Dhoni has always provided his fans the performances they want to see. He has been the backbone of Indian cricket. As the experts say Sourav Ganguly gave INDIA a “Spine” but Mahendra Singh Dhoni gave INDIA “The Courage”. MSD has everything in his bag from World Cup wins to the immense love and Dhoni chants he gets from his fans when he enters the arena, now all he needs is a perfect finish, and THE BEST FINISHER MSD he is, we can expect something more special in the coming World Cup from Dhoni at the twilight of his career

Apart from all these facts and all Speculations over the media and cricketing minds, many are trying to predict what MSD will decide, Some are suggesting retirement while others want him to keep going for as long as he can however this Entirely depends upon MS Dhoni and it’s he is the only one who will decide his fate, Will Dhoni retire? Will he not? What are his plans? For now, we can only make intelligent guesses but one thing is for sure that he will be playing a key role in World Cup 2019. MSD and his calmness are the magic ingredients India need to be over the line in this all-important ICC World Cup 2019 edition.

Ashwin Mankads buttler but WHY?

THE BIG CONTROVERSY! Ravichandran Ashwin “Mankad” Buttler but WHY?

Jos Buttler was “Mankad” during yesterdays IPL Match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab. R Ashwin stopped during his runup seeing Buttler advancing from the non-striker’s crease. He stopped and took the bails appealing to the umpires and was later given OUT!

The decision was referred to the third umpires and at the end of it, Buttler was given out as per the Game Rules. Certainly, Jos Buttler was not so happy about it when he was given out in such fashion. this also sparked controversy amongst the fans and game Gurus on the legitimacy of the appeal and the ethical side of this whole event. many think that it was against the spirit of the game and Ravi Ashwin had no intention of delivering the ball and hence the ball should be dead. Many former Cricket Players came out and expressed their views on this crazy controversy. Most of the international Cricket stars criticized Ravichandran Ashwin his actions and role in the proceedings. Share Warne has expressed that He is “Disappointed in R Ashwin as a Captain & as a Person”
Eion Morgan Also expressed similar thoughts that it was probably not the right thing to do on Ashwin’s end. None the less what’s done is done but one thing is for sure it didn’t set a good example to the youngsters getting to know the spirit of the game. There is a reason why Cricket is called “Gentlemen’s Game”. However, it is entirely up to the fans to decide. express your views in the comments and tell us if it was the right thing to do.
