“The Arch Rivals”, probably the perfect word to define the relationship between the two neighbors. Pakistan and India are two very fine Asian cricketing teams. Without any shadow of a doubt, these two have the biggest rivalry in cricket. And not just cricket, Pakistan and India are the biggest rivals in any sport they come across each other let it be hockey, Kabaddi or any other game. This rivalry started right from the Partition of British India, When the subcontinent was divided into two countries, Pakistan and India (Bharat). since then, both these nations have been great rivals.

Cricket flows through the veins of the people in India and Pakistan and as they say, Pakistan vs India is not just a game between Pakistan Cricket team vs Indian Cricket Team, Its way more than that as Both the nations are behind their teams and a warlike environment is established whenever the two cricketing giants lock horns on cricket field. The entire world sets their eyes in whenever Pakistan and India are playing each other.

THE INDIA-PAKISTAN CRICKET RIVALRY

PAKISTAN’s FIRST TOUR TO INDIA

The cricket Rivalry dates back to 1952-1953 INDIA vs PAKISTAN series when the two nations first played each other in Test cricket. Pakistan team under the captaincy of Abdul Hafeez Kardar toured India where they played series of 3 test matches. In Delhi, the first test match was won by India, while in Lucknow Pakistan won the 2nd test match which led to an angry reaction from the home crowd towards their team. Last two matches were drawn and India clinched the series by 2-1.

INDIA’s FIRST TOUT TO PAKISTAN

Indian team toured Pakistan for the first time in 1954-55, It was a long tour of 5 Test matches. It must be reminded that back in those days test matches lasted for only 4-days unlike now when a 5-day match is played. This series was not conclusive at all and ended up as 0-0 with all 5 matches drawn.

Shorter Formats IND v PAK in ODIs and T20Is

India and Pakistan played their first ODI against each other on 1 October 1978, and their first meeting in T20 was on 14 September 2007. Between 1962 and 1977, there was no cricket play in between these two nations because of two major wars in 1965 and 1971. The 1999 Kargil conflict and 2008 Mumbai attack also interrupted the cricketing ties between the two nations.

As fact and figures say it all, Pakistan team apart from remarkable success against India over the years as a whole has never won against India in any ICC world cup event no matter if it was ODI or T20. Meanwhile, India has performed slenderly well against the rivals in Major events. Even in 1992 ICC world cup when Pakistan became World Champions, they still could not beat India in the group match. Now, this stat has grown into a psychological headache for Pakistan and an edge for India as they meet in the World cup events. Let’s see if the Men in Green will be able to turn the tides in their favor this time around. ENGvPAK 5ODI series

SERIES OUTCOME: PAK vs ENG

PAKISTAN Team’s Performance and takeaways from the series:

THE BAD:

From Pakistan perspective, Pakistan doesn’t get the momentum they wanted before entering the world cup. This was the continuous 10th defeat of the Pakistan team which ultimately affect the team combination, the atmosphere of the dressing room and also the Psych of the players.

If we talk about practicing in the England conditions to be aware of the world cup conditions, it is well and good but if we talk about batting, bowling, and fielding, the Pakistan team was very down in all the departments of the cricket. They bowl very poorly, no early swing from the new ball, no reverse swing later with the old ball, no variations seen from Pakistani bowlers, Yorkers were also missing in the dead overs from Pakistani bowlers.
Pakistan raised its fielding standards in recent past but in this series, fielding was below the standard and fitness was also an issue in this series.

THE GOODS:

not so much good to account for from this series however, In batting there are few positive points for Pakistan team, openers are very much in form which is the good sign for Pakistan team, middle order works properly, but there was always a hard hitter missing in the lower order which could take up the momentum towards the end and help the team in setting up a huge and Asif Ali filled this spot for Pakistan also plunging his way into the World cup squad.

As a sum up, Pakistan team need a lot of hard work in all department of cricket to make a strong comeback in the world cup as a champion. They have full knowledge of their weaknesses now and they are well aware of the conditions and what they will be up against in WorldCup 2019.

ENGLAND Team’s Performance and takeaways from the series:

All Looking Good for England Team:

If we look at the series from the England perspective, the series was full of positivity and ultimately ending up the series on a positive note always helps the teams to get crucial momentum. As this series was the final series of England before the world cup, England got the full benefit of the series, test their new young boys, tested their batting line, bowling line and their fitness too. Entering into the world cup with whitewashed a team in something every team is dreaming off. If we talk about batting, it outclassed Pakistan bowling line up. Openers are in such a great form, the middle order is like a great wall and the most important thing is that lower order can bat too which is a bonus point for the England team. If we look at bowling, England tests too many young bowlers like Curran and Archer who did their job fantastic and brilliantly well in this entire series. These young guys add some pace in the England bowling lineup with great accuracy. Fielding and fitness of English players are always up to the mark.

CONCLUSION:

If we sum up the entire situation, England is on the top of the entire series as well as on the top of favorites for the world cup by different analysts and by different legends of the cricket. They are so perfect in each department either it is batting, bowling or fielding.

Shahid Afridi retired from International Cricket (ODI Format) right after ICC WORLD CUP 2015, Since then he has been mostly busy with his NGO “Hope Not Out”. Shahid has recently written a book which has caught all the media attention and Shahid has been in the spotlight once again due to some cheeky things he mentioned within his biography. Shahid Afridi’s Book is rightfully titled ” GAME CHANGER” just the way he was.

THE GAME CHANGER

Shahid Afridi’s book game changer has revealed many controversial things including Team politics, Board politics and some of the players. Shahid Afridi.

KEY POINTS OF SHAHID AFRIDI’s BOOK “GAME CHANGER”

SHAHID AFRIDI’s BOOK IMPORTANT POINTS and REVIEW

  • Shahid very bluntly told his “ACTUAL AGE” every one from his book saying that he was indeed not 16 years of age on his debut instead he was 19 years old.
  • Shahid Afridi has initially written about his humble beginnings and initial childhood days.
  • Shahid also told us that he scored his first 36 ball Fastest century of the world with Sachin Tendulkar’s BAT! yes, that’s right. Sachin gave his bat to Waqar Younis to make him a similar bat from Sialkot and Waqar let Shahid play with the bat when he was going in to bat before that world record innings. No Wonder SACHIN TENDULKAR had an indirect secret hand in making Shahid a star he is today.
  • Then he spoke about the legendary players from Pakistan like Javaid Miandad, Waqar Younis, and Wasim Akram. For Javed Miandad, he used the word “Weak Human” and told a story when Afridi scored his first test century Miandad asked Afridi to give his performance credit to Javed in front of everyone. Similarly, about Waqar Younis, he says that he was a terrible Captain and a poor Coach as well. He did praise Wasim Akram referring his as his mentor. There is a lot more in the book to read about such stories and instances form Shahid Afridi’s life.
  • Shahid Afridi also discussed the dirty politics inside Pakistan Cricket and between players.
  • He also explained how he was a pure bowler and always meant to be a bowler but people made him batsmen and always expected sixes from his making him live in a confusion for all his career.
  • Shahid also discussed his party life before marriage and a little about his affairs and some funny stories related to it like once when he was impressed by a girl over phone and her voice was so lovely but when Shahid wanted to meet her and invited her in his home. it was a 14-year-old young boy and he felt embarrassed and he and his family met that young boy and spent the day with him.
  • Shahid also wrote about his political views. Shahid Wrote about Imran Khan, Praising him as a cricketer however he is of the view that Imran Khan’s party members aren’t competent enough to deliver.
  • Similarly, Shahid Afridi also discussed Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari and shared a story where Bilawal was used as a scapegoat by Zardari to force indulge Shahid into their political gatherings and rallies.
  • Shahid Afridi also expressed his views about Nawaz Shareef, He says that no matter what you think of Nawaz Shareef and he may well be involved in corruption and all but “HE KNOWS HOW TO DELIVER FOR PAKISTAN”. he compared cities and gave an example of developments in Lahore city of Punjab (Where Nawaz Shareef ruled) compared to Karachi and other cities.
  • He also expressed his views about Military establishment of Pakistan where he wrote that Military should stay away from the politics and why they keep interfering in the countries politics when there is no need of it and they should simply stick to their own job.

CONCLUSION

Overall its a fine book with some mistakes and some contradictions here and there, however, Shahid Afridi has exposed some hard realities of cricket and especially Pakistan Cricket which has taken the fans by storm and its a good read. Controversies like legendary players like Miandad, Waqar Younis, and others are there with the sad events of Spot Fixing and Afridi’s Role in It. Overall if you are a Shahid Afridi fan it’s a must-read for you.

ENGvPAK 5ODI series

England won the 5th-Match ODI series 4-0

Pakistan Lost 4th- ODI match to England

Pakistan lost another high scoring game to England in ongoing 5 match ODI series. This England vs Pakistan series is more of a World Cup preparation for both the teams. After the first ODI was abandoned due to rain at THE OVAL (London). Rest has been a complete struggle for the visitors where they have played and lost 4 High scoring matches on the trot.

England has Won the 5-ODI match series with a convincing 4-0 lead with also winning the final 5th-ODI match held at Leeds. All Matches were high scoring matches with 350 runs on average scored in each game. Pakistani batting was rather competitive during all three ODIs. Fakhar Zaman, Imam Ul Haq and Babar Azam score centuries and Asif Ali also chipped in with consecutive 50s. Captain Sarfraz also coming back into touch after a long time, scored 97 runs when he was run out in a funny way courtesy Jos Buttler’s acrobatics with his leg. However, it was Pakistan Team’s bowling which led them down on these flat pitches. Pakistani bowling is fairly more use to play on flat pitches in UAE however to everyone’s surprise Pakistani Bowlers were below power in all three matches. Ordinary bowling was further led down by poor ground fielding regardless of some young legs in the side, the fielding was a stress for the visitors in all three matches.

ALSO READ: WHY PAK vs ENG SERIES WAS SO IMPORTANT

Not only the side looks low on confidence but also the worries of right bowling combination for the world cup is a headache now for the head coach Micky Arthur. Muhammad Amir will join the stumbling bowling lineup in World Cup 2019, However, with his out of form poor run in the past series this year, people are skeptical of any quick improvements.

On the other hand, this series was not only a huge confidence booster for the England side moreover they managed to test all players on the bench for the coming World Cup Squad. Players like TOM CURRAN, JOE DENLY, and JOFRA ARCHER showed promise and performed very well making it ever so difficult for the England selectors to pick and drop players for the World Cup Squad.

Amir and Asif are back

Muhammad Amir and Asif Ali are Back for WorldCup 2019

Muhammad Amir and Asif Ali who were left out of Pakistan’s World Cup squad initially are now called back into the side as confirmed by the PCB’s selection committee headed by Inzimam-ul-Haq.

Previously Both Players were dropped because of their poor run in ODI format this year but were given one last chance in the PAKISTAN vs ENGLAND ODI series. The recent announcement from Chairman selection committee can after Asif Ali made full use of this opportunity and scored consecutive 50’s in 2nd and 3rd ODIs against England. All matches have been high scoring matches where a striker like Asif Ali can be more than handy in the late order to boost strike rate.

On the contrary, Muhammad Amir who is currently medically ill amid chicken pox is included in the side due to the poor run of Pakistani fast bowlers against England where they have conceded more than 350 runs consistently and none of the top 4 bowlers have shown any significant performance for the side.

Wasim Akram and other former cricketers including Ramiz Raja also spoke about the Amir’s case and why he should be in Pakistan’s World Cup Campaign 2019. With recent poor performances by Faheem Ashraf and untested New inclusion of Abid Ali had made ways for Amir and Asif. Both players are set to get into the WC squad replacing Faheem Ashraf and Abid Ali for WC 2019.

We can only hope that Amir can get his mojo back in the coming major event and perform for Pakistan just as he did in the ICC Champions trophy. Whereas Asif is already back in form and he just needs to continue his form into the world cup 2019. Still, there are a couple of matches against England left in the series where Asif needs can take his recent confidence to uplift his performance in the coming games.

Ball Tampering Cases

TOP 8 Ball Tampering Controversies in Cricket

CONTROVERSIES, CHEATING AND THE CRICKET WORLD

Cricket world, cricket, and the cricketers are always surrounded by controversies. Controversies and cricket go hand in hand. There have always been controversial happenings inside and outside the playing field however this modern-day cricket has come a long way in scrutinizing the causes with some new ICC rules and code of conduct.

Whenever there is a mega-event such as ICC World Cup or any other mega tournament there is always a great chance of controversies popping up due to the competitive nature of the game. This gentlemen game demands a fair play with big hearts and sportsmen spirit which sometimes is found lacking or players overtrying their part to get results for sides no matter what reason controversies are bound to occur.

Recently cricketing world have been largely dealing with controversies like MATCH FIXING, SPOT FIXING, and BALL TAMPERING.

BALL TAMPERING IN CRICKET:

There is a long past history of ball tampering in cricket and sadly such cases came out from some of the biggest names in the game. In good old days, there were no such rules which prevented the tampering with certain things and the coin, the bottle cap and the nails were common tools of players to tamper with the Ball. But with the advent of Reverse swing, everyone wanted to make the ball swing in the air and hence players figured ways to tamper with the ball to get the desired effect.

WHAT IS BALL TAMPERING?

Ball tampering is an unlawful act in the game of cricket in which alteration of the surface of the ball is done by the fielders or the bowler itself to interfere with the aerodynamics of the ball and to aid its movement in the air.

According to the cricket law, fielders and the bowlers are only allowed to shine the ball or to dry the ball with the towel if the ball is wet. If anyone wants to remove dirt from the ball it is done in the supervision of on-field umpires. If the surface of the ball is altered by the fingernail, rubbing on the ground, or by any other sharp object, it will be in the context of ball tampering.

PURPOSE BEHIND THE BALL TAMPERING:

The main and foremost purpose behind the ball tampering is to get the ball to swing or bring to obtain favorable bowling conditions. Normally, players apply saliva to shine the one surface of the ball which helps them to swing the ball with the shine which is legal however in case of ball tampering, players rub the surface of the ball by sharp objects like Nails, spikes, bottle caps, sandpapers which alter the surface of the ball and because of this act ball swings more in the air. Bowlers also get a reverse swing which is gold in the death overs and very difficult for the batsmen to deal with.

BUT WHAT IS REVERSE SWING?

This whole thing works on the principal of Air pressure, as on shiny surface air can flow smoothly whereas on the rough surfaces its flow is not smooth, In case of cricket ball the difference of ball surface condition on either side of the seam can make on side of the ball experience lesser air pressure and thus ball swings that way. Cricket Ball has to be shiny on one side and rough on the other to be able to swing in the air commonly referred to as REVERSE SWING. Which is indeed very difficult to play.

Players usually do tamper the ball whenever there are unfavorable conditions for bowling. Tampered ball swings much which helps bowler to do something better with the ball in such a difficult situation.

HISTORY OF BALL TAMPERING:

Cricket history is full of such incidents where a single individual or a few teammates were involved in ball tampering. Ball tampering causes serious damage to the integrity of this game. Ball tampering not only damaged the image of the game but also some fine careers of great players as they were banned for years or fined from their match fee. In the past, there are so many legendary cricketers who were also involved in such sorts of activities directly or indirectly. Waqar Younus was the first who receive a suspension and fined 50% of his match fees in 2000.

MICHAEL ATHERTON:England

England’s captain Michael Atherton against South Africa in a test match in 1994 at lords was accused of ball tampering. Atherton caught by the cameras when he put his hand in his pocket and then rub something on the ball. Atherton denied that allegation of ball tampering and give a statement that he had dirt in his pocket which he used to dry his hands. This whole infamous episode is termed as “dirt in the pocket”.

WAQAR YOUNIS:Pakistan

Waqar Younis, a Pakistani legendary fast bowler known for his accuracy, pace and deadly Yorkers was also involved in Ball tampering activity in 2000 where he received a suspension and 50% of his match fees for his role in ball tampering. He was the first player to officially receive a suspension and was fined for ball tampering.

SACHIN TENDULKAR:India

Even the Masters can at time flaunter and can be found wanting in this cruel game of cricket. Sachin Tendulkar who is probably the “King of modern-day Cricket” was allegedly involved in one such case. In 2001 against South Africa in a test match, match referee suspended Tendulkar for ball tampering. Tendulkar denied the allegation and said that he only removed a piece of grass which was stuck in the seam and was not involved in tampering of any kind. meanwhile, took notice and later ICC removed all the charges on Tendulkar for ball tampering, though ICC still said that he cleaned the ball without the permission of the umpires which is against the ICC code of conduct and the rules of the game.

RAHUL DRAVID:India

In 2004 in Australian tri-series against Zimbabwe Rahul Dravid who was a very established and seasoned cricketer from India was caught by the cameras when he was engaging in questionable activities with the ball used. He apparently rubbed the shiny surface of the ball. Rahul Dravid was fined 50% of his match fee for his wrongdoings.

ENGLAND CRICKET TEAM:England

Marcus Trescothick admitted in his autobiography, that he used mint saliva to polish the side of the ball which remain for a long time and gave the ball more swing. This admission came 3 years after the conclusion of the ashes 2005 series in which England beat Australia 2-1.

PAKISTAN CRICKET TEAM:Pakistan

In 2006, Pakistani Team was penalized by the match umpires for tampering with the ball. In this Test match between Pakistan vs England, Pakistan refused and denied that no ball tampering was done by them. As a protest, Pakistan refused to continue to play after tea and did not come out to continue with the Match. Umpires then decided the match in favor of England as per the cricket laws. Darrel Harper was criticized for his decision and the controversy drew deeper when Harper was unable to provide significant proof of any tampering with the ball. He retired from his umpiring career later.

STEVE SMITH, DAVID WARNER and CAMERON BANCROFTAustralia

Last year in March 2018, the Australian cricket team was in South Africa, during the third test match of the series when the Australian side was in serious trouble, Steve Smith gave the ball to the Bancroft which was then tampered with the sandpaper, caught by the television cameras. afterward, Cricket Australia had to tackle the matter, which they did with a strict approach, and after accepting their mistake, all three players including Warner and Smith were banned for a year from international and from domestic cricket as well. Bancroft did that act on instructions of both senior player so Cricket Australia minimize his banned and allow him to play domestic cricket in December last year. Steve Smith and David Warner finished their punishment later this March-29th and were free to play international cricket from March 2019 onwards. After this scandal, the Australian coach stepped down from his role and Justin Langer took over the office. In a very emotional presser, Smith apologized to his fans and promised Aussie board and his nation not to repeat this at any cost. The entire scandal is known as “Sandpaper Gate” scandal.

PAKISTAN VS ENGLAND ODI SERIES 2nd ODI AND LIAM PLUNKETT:

LIAM PLUNKETT ALLEGEDLY TAMPERED WITH THE BALL England

Pakistan is playing England in their last series before the ICC World Cup, as to finalize their preparation in which 1 T20 and 5 ODI are scheduled. T20 was won by England side quite comfortably while the first ODI was abandoned due to rain. In 2nd ODI England put a massive total on the board of 374 runs. Pakistan in reply started off very well but in the last overs ball started to reverse which grabbed the attention of the match officials.

Cameras caught Liam Plunkett tampering with the ball, He was allegedly rubbing his nails over the white cricket ball to make one side rough enough for reverse swing. The ball condition was very poor in the last overs as it can clearly be seen in the leaked video of the alleged ball tampering.

ICC AND BALL TAMPERING OF LIAM PLUNKETT England

This wasn’t the first case of ball tampering from England side none the less, over media pressure ICC took notice but later ICC dropped off all allegations of ball tampering after further investigation into the matter, ICC has given clean chit to Liam Plunkett and so far there has been no objection from the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) over the matter. This ICC decision of dropping off the tampering case related to the richest cricket board “ECB” was not so well received by the cricket fans around the world as many believe that there was certainly something fishy going on as seen in the Plunkett closeup video. Though no action was taken on this ball tampering case it certainly raised some Eyebrows leaving fans wondering about the ICC system of justice.

Mitchell Starc Aussie Bowler

Starc to add some spark! Mitchell Starc is Back

Mitchell Starc who is the front-line attack bowler for Australian team was out nursing a pectoral injury for the past three months. Starc is now back in the team playing in the ongoing 3 practice match series for World Cup 2019 against New Zealand.  Series between Australia vs New Zealand is now leveled 1-1 after New Zealand won the second ODI comfortably by 7 wickets and 16 balls to spare. Starc once again proved to be the cornerstone of the Aussie pace attack, apart from Starc Aussie bowling attack looked one rather dimensional and shaky as the World Cup candidate Kane Richardson was again not amongst the wickets finishing with 52-0 in his 10 overs. Whereas the SA Abbott was the most expensive of the lot giving away 57 in 7.2 overs. Nathan Lyon the spinner called in for World Cup 2019 squad was also wicketless. However, Mitchell Starc was the only standout performer with 2 quick wickets in his short 5 over spell giving away just 14 runs. In Batting Steve Smith also shined with his unbeaten 89* runs innings showing positive signs for the upcoming mega event.

Mitchel Starc Bowling Stats:

29 years of age Mitchell Starc has been phenomenal since his debut in 2010. He has very good numbers especially in the shorter formats of the game. In ODI’s he has been the go-to man for his captain under pressure situations. Here are Mitchel Starc’s career stats.

Cricket Format Matches Wickets Economy Average
Test 2011- 51 211 3.39 28.2
ODI 2010- 75 145 4.95 21.4
T20I 2012- 23 31 6.76 19.1
T20 2009- 86 128 7.14 17.5

Starc Bringing Balance to the Australian Bowling Lineup

At first Australians had Mitchell Johnson and then came Mitchell Starc, Johnson was known for his raw pace while the Starc brought more seam control to the Aussie bowling lineup, though fast enough Starc has a remarkable control especially in case of white ball and he has been nailing the job for a good decade now for team Australia with his bowling. He has been the star of several tournaments for Australia however his amazing performance ICC World Cup 2015 remains the highlight of his career where he was also given the Player of the Tournament award. Looks like Starc is back just in time to raise the hopes of Aussie fans as Australian team needed him badly. The Aussie attack was looking extremely one dimensional and some time out of sorts against good opponents on good decks. With Starc’s experience and expertise, this is to change now and Australia will now move into the ICC World Cup 2019 with a very well-balanced side.

STEVE SMITH AND DAVID WARNER “THE FALLEN ARE BACK FOR WORLD CUP 2019”

SMITH and WARNER THE POWER DUO!

Steve Smith and David Warner, the two Heavyweights of the Australian cricket team, are very well known amongst the entire cricket world by their fearless yet flawless batting style and by their aggressive nature of play. Both star players of Aussie side flourished in the past several years leading their side from the front. Smith and Warner played some historic knocks for their side. But as they say “Controversies follow the stardom”. Last year, David Warner and Steve Smith were also surrounded by controversies and were caught wanting in an indecent controversy which took everyone by surprise. It eventually led both of them out of the cricket. Recently, on 29th-March, both the Star players ban was lifted and their banishment came to an end which paved their way into the Aussie WC 2019 squad.

THE “SANDPAPER GATE” CONTROVERSY:

WHAT WENT WRONG FOR SMITH AND WARNER

CONSEQUENCES OF THE CONTROVERSY:

Before the events of Sandpaper Gate, Steve Smith and David Warner were the Aussie Captain and Vice-captain of their side respectively. After the scandal both the players were instantly removed from their respective positions, which was the major and most prominent loss of the Australian side. Afterward, the team was then led by Tim Paine, who was new to the Job and fairly inexperienced than Steve Smith.

Australian team’s performance was degraded and going downhill continuously, when finally, AUS vs IND win in Perth came as a relief for Captain Tim Paine. Later they lost quite a few on the trot and in short, the Qantas was ever the same after the demise of Smith and warner.

COME BACK OF THE LETHAL DUO:

The suspension ended in March 2019, both Smith and Warner were instantly playing cricket afterward, both were selected for the IPL season 12. Smith was part of IPL team Rajasthan Royals (RR) whereas Warner got his ticket into SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH). Both Players had an awesome IPL season 12 so far and performed with magical figures for RR and SRH this IPL 2019.

Player Season Mat Runs HS Ave SR 100 50 4s 6s
David Warner IPL 2019 12 692 100* 69.2 143.86 1 8 57 21
Steve Smith IPL 2019 12 319 73* 39.87 116 0 3 30 4

Keeping in view their splendid form they were naturally inducted into the Aussie side though with some resistance from within the board they finally managed to get into the Aussie World Cup 2019 Squad. Because of the lethal combination of these two and some good experience in their bag. Inclusion of Smith and warner into the Australian Team has put the Australian side once again amongst the favorites for the WC 2019.

Come back of 32 years old David Warner and 29 years old Steve Smith gives much-needed strength to the Australian batting lineup, which has always been up to the mark previously but was suffering in recent times. David Warner, a world-class opener with aggressive nature, hits the ball hard, capable of hitting big shots, ultimately benefits Australian side with his strike force in the upcoming mega event.
